Labor day weekend we went camping up on Mt. Graham with Don's parents. We did the same thing last year when Carter was 2 months old and we got into our car accident remember? Well no accidents this year!
Carter had a hay day. He LOVED walking around and playing in the dirt. When we first got to our camping spot on Friday he kept tripping and falling. He even tripped and rolled. When he got up he was all smiling like "that was fun!" We were all laughing pretty hard.
Papa took Carter on lots of wagon rides
Grandma and Papa bought Carter a couple shovels, bubbles, and a pale to play with and...
We put a swing up in between two trees. He was in heaven.
Grandma bopping Carter on the head with a water bottle in the trailer. (He's such a goober)
Friday night Carter slept in the tent with Don and I. It was a ROUGH night! Carter was so scared. He wouldn't sleep in the pack n' play. He wouldn't sleep beside me. He would only sleep ON TOP of me and he woke up a lot. Poor kid had a death grip on me.
Dirty faces
Saturday Don's brother's family came up for the day. We had a big meal and played games. We also went on a hike to a waterfall. It was super pretty and of course I forgot to bring my camera when we went.
My nephew and I worked on some "action" shots while we threw the football around
My nephews and their walking sticks
This is what Carter played with 90% of the time.
Sunday we went to church on the mountain. They have it outside and everyone brings their camping chairs. It was pretty fun. Then later we went on a drive so Carter would take a nap (is he a rotten kid or what?) It was a really pretty drive and we drove to the lake.
Our last night camping
Our last night Carter slept with his grandma in the trailer. And he slept pretty much the whole night. His grandma must really love him to sleep with him.
It's love
My favorite
We loved getting away to the mountain and we had a blast. Can't wait to go again!
