I decided to brave the heat this year and take the kids to the parade. We left early. Not only was it deathly hot, but the parade was lame and Carter lost interest. So I took the kids to Kainoa's Hawaiian grill for some lunch and a smoothie and enjoyed the nice air conditioning.

Every Fourth of July it rains. I don't know why, but I love it! I love the rainy season here. We had a barbecue at my brother in law's house and enjoyed the rain sprinkles. After that we drove out to the fairgrounds to watch the fireworks!

I love 4th of July too! I think its actually starting to take first over Christmas for favorite holiday! Did you take the kids to the parade and lunch by yourself? You are wonder women.
